whereas at a court here held tuesday being 21.6.1603 Rich Allen was admitted tenant of the lord for himself and his heirs by the surrender of Robt Reade senior to one cottage or curtilage with appurtenances late of Wm Sprigge upon condition of the payment of divers sums of money to the aforesaid Robt Reade his executors or assigns at certain separate places and days in the past as by copy of a roll of a certain court here brought into this court it is clearly shown and appears now to this court came the aforesaid Robt Reade in person and in full and open court recognised himself to have received and had from the aforesaid Rich Allen all the aforementioned separate sums of money in the manner and form mentioned in the aforesaid condition and surrender and the aforesaid Rich Allen his heirs executors and administrators were acquitted and discharged thereof altogether forever upon which now to this court also came the aforesaid Rich Allen and sought from the lord the said recognition and acquittal from the aforesaid Robt Reade on his part to be enrolled in the rolls of this court and it was granted to him etc and he gave for this enrolment etc
