whereas at a court here held tuesday being 31.12.1606 Ann at that time wife of Jn Aleyn was admitted tenant of the lord for herself and her heirs to a third part of one cottage now built as one tenements with customary garden adjoining called Prills sometime of Wm Tenderinge and afterwards of Wm Sporiar now to this court came the aforesaid Jn Alein and Ann his wife and Ann herself solely and secretly examined by the lord's steward according to the custom of the said manor and in full and open court surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of his said steward the aforesaid premises with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Thos Leffingewell and his heirs who present in court sought admittance thereof for himself from the lord to whom the lord by his aforesaid steward granted thereof seisin to have to the same said Thos and his heirs to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine etc and made fealty to the lord and was admitted thereof tenant of the lord
