whereas at a court here held monday being 20.10.1578 Geo Cressener was admitted tenant of the lord for himself and the heirs of his body legitimately procreated and in default of such heirs the remainder thereof as is shown in the said court to one parcel of land and a little grove called Andrewes and Birchetts late of Jn Baxter containing by estimation 5a of land more or less as by a roll of the aforesaid court here in full court it is clearly shown now at this court it is shown by the homage of this court that the aforesaid Geo Cressener after the last court died of such estate seised of his premises and that Edw Cressener gentleman is son and next heir of his body legitimately procreated and should have the right to the premises who now came to this court and sought thereof admittance for himself and because it was thus shown by the homage therefore the lord by his aforesaid steward granted thereof seisin to him to have to the same Edw and the heirs of his body legitimately procreated the remainder thereof as stated above to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine and made fealty to the lord and was admitted thereof tenant of the lord
