and also it is shown by the homage that Robt Read late customary tenant of this manor died before this court seised in his demesne as of fee of four crofts of land called Symonds and of one croft called Ballerds situated and lying within the precincts of this court and held of this manor and that Jn Read is next heir of the aforesaid Robt Read his father and should have the right to the said premises and is of the full age of twenty one years and more now to this court came the aforesaid Jn Read in person and humbly sought from the lord admittance to the aforesaid premises whereof the lord of the manor by his aforesaid steward granted thereof seisin to him to have and to hold the aforesaid four crofts of land to the aforesaid Jn Read his heirs and assigns forever from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine and made fealty and was admitted thereof tenant of the lord
