to this court came Jn Pierson and Jane his wife in person and Jane herself first solely and secretly examined by he steward as is the custom and acknowledged and surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the said steward one parcel of customary land parcel of Myllfeild containing by estimation 4a1r27p lying between another parcel of land parcel of the aforesaid Mylfeild on the eastern part and a parcel of meadow called Holmes towards the west one head thereof abutting upon Barthall Mead and the aforesaid meadow called Holmes towards the south and the other head thereof abutting upon another parcel of Myllfeild towards the north and also one other parcel of land of Myllfeild containing by estimation 1a3r more or less lying between the aforesaid parcel of land parcel of Myllfield towards the north west and containing there in length 31rod and a half and another parcel of land parcel also of the aforesaid Myllfield now or lately in the tenure of Jn Hodson towards the south east and containing there in length 32rod and three quarters one head thereof abutting upon the meadow called Barthall Meade towards the south west and the other head thereof abutting upon the remainder of the said parcel of land called Myllfeild to the use and behoof of Jn Hawkesby clerk and his heirs forever to whom the same said Jn Hawkesby present here in court the lord by his aforesaid steward granted and delivered seisin of the aforesaid premises by the rod to have to him and his heirs to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents customs and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine for such an entry as is shown in the margin and made fealty and was admitted thereof tenant etc
