it is shown by the homage that Thos Aylett before this court and after the last court surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Thos Cockerell instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Brewer and Roger Brownson two customary tenants of the lord the same testifying according to the custom of the aforesaid manor two crofts of land with a certain barn newly built thereof lying between a croft of land sometime in the tenure of Ludovic Jegon called and land called Bromefeild with appurtenances containing by estimation 11a of land more or less as by the metes and bounds it is divided and clearly shown and which he took for himself and his heirs by the surrender of Jn Cutler at a court here held wednesday being 19.6.1611 to the use and behoof of Wm Hutt his heirs and assigns to whom the same said Wm present here in court the lord by his steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have to him his heirs and assigns forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents customs and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord fine and fealty and was admitted thereof tenant etc
