it is also shown by the aforesaid homage that Thos Aylett of East Hanningfield yeoman before this court and after the last court namely 4.4.1623 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Miles Docker instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Brewer and Jn Wade two customary tenants the same testifying according to the custom of the said manor all those his customary lands in the aforesaid Earls Colne known or recognised by the name of Boames alias Bomefeild or by whatever other name or names they are recognised containing by estimation 11a more or less with all and singular their appurtenances which same said premises the aforesaid Thos took for himself and his heir s at a court here held for the aforesaid manor saturday being 18.1.1612 to the use and behoof of Steph Nettles clerk now rector of Lexden and his heirs forever to whom the same said Steph present here in court the lord by his aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have to himself and his heirs to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents customs and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine as is shown in the margin and made fealty and was admitted thereof tenant etc
