it is shown by the homage that Jane Rand widow late wife of Dan Rand out of court namely on 21.6.last surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Simon Ive instead of the bailiff in the presence of Sam Burton and Jas Pennocke two customary tenants of the aforesaid manor the same testifying according to the custom of the said manor all that close or croft of land with appurtenances called Little Sixpence lying in White Colne held of the aforesaid manor by copy of a court roll to the use and behoof of Mich Heyward of Colne Engaine husbandman and his heirs to whom the same said Mich present here in court the lord by his aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have to him the aforesaid Mich Hayward his heirs and assigns forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents customs and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he made therefore fine and fealty and was admitted etc
