and furthermore at this court it is shown by the homage that Jn Middleton junior customary tenant of this manor after the last court and before this court viz 5.11.1630 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Simon Ive instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Middleton senior and Hen Cony two customary tenants of the aforesaid manor the same testifying according to the custom of the aforesaid manor all that his cottage or tenement called Sadlers in which the aforesaid Jn Middleton junior then lived and in which the aforesaid Jn Middleton and Jn Theobald lately lived to the use and behoof of Robt Cell of Earls Colne wheelwright and his heirs forever who present here in court humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have the aforesaid cottage or tenement called Sadlers with appurtenances to the aforesaid Robt Cell and his heirs forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine and made fealty and was admitted thereof tenant
