and afterwards in the same court and the court sitting came into court the aforesaid Jn Kent in person and on account of the partition made thereof between the said Margt and Rich and Ann of and in the premises surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of his aforesaid steward the aforesaid field called Homefield and all that part of the said large orchard lying and abutting upon a piece of land called Blakes as it is now divided and the aforesaid capital messuage with pond and aforesaid yard pertaining to the aforesaid messuage excepting always and reserving to the aforesaid Jn Kent his heirs and assigns the hall room and kitchen parcel of the said messuage and the rooms being above the said hall room and kitchen and freely and legally to carry and use water at the aforesaid pond and a free way to the said pond for carrying water and the said ancient barn the said small orchard the remainder of the said great orchard that lies removed from the said parcel of land called Blakes as it is now divided the said chases and a way by and across the said great yard from and to the king's highway leading towards Coggeshall to drive carry and recarry forever from and to the said great barn chases and the aforesaid Oxenfen to the use and behoof of the said Margt Till her heirs and assigns forever to whom the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid field called Homefield and the aforesaid capital messuage and other premises with appurtenances excepting for the exceptions to the aforesaid Margt Till her heirs and assigns forever from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and she gave to the lord for a fine etc
