and furthermore whereas at a view with court here held 21.4.1626 Edw Clarke was admitted tenant of the lord for himself and his heirs to one customary cottage lately built and 7a of land more or less called Tredgolds Fen parcel of lands called Tredgolds with appurtenances upon the consideration and with this intention that the aforesaid Edw Clarke should make such surrender of the aforesaid premises to whatever persons or such person as Harlakenden esq should designate or appoint by any writings as by a roll of the aforesaid court it appears now at this court the aforesaid Rich Harlakenden by a writing signed by his hand on the day of this court he has appointed or prescribed the said Edw Clarke to surrender into the hands of the lord the cottage and other premises with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Dan Rogers bachelor of theology his heirs and assigns forever upon which the aforesaid Edw Clarke in full and open court surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the aforesaid steward the aforesaid cottage and other premises with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Dan Rogers his heirs and assigns to whom by Wm Harlakenden gentleman his deputy and attorney the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin thereof by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid cottage and other premises with appurtenances to the aforesaid Dan Rogers his heirs and assigns forever from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine but his fealty was respited
