Eliz Josselin to a cottage upon Colne green | whereas at a court here held 20.10.1659 Thos Wade and Sarah his wife took for themselves and their heirs one cottage with a yard and pond pertaining to the aforesaid cottage lying at the top end of Earls Colne green now at this court it was shown by the homage that afterwards the aforesaid Sarah died thus seised thereof and that the aforesaid Thos survived her and that the aforesaid Thos after the death of the said Sarah and after the last court viz 22.1.1666 by the rod surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Jn Barrett instead of the bailiff and in the presence of Ralph Josselin clerk and Thos Josselin two customary tenants of the aforesaid manor the same testifying etc the aforesaid cottage courtyard and pond with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Eliz Josselin one of the daughters of the said Ralph and the heirs and assigns of the said Eliz forever to whom the same said Eliz present here in court and seeking this the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid cottage and the premises with appurtenances to the aforesaid Eliz her heirs and assigns forever from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and she gave to the lord for a fine but her fealty was respited because she was under age |
