Jn Carter | whereas at a court here held 13.10.1637 Robt Carter took for himself and his heirs one parcel of land called Andrews containing by estimation 3a more or less and whereas at a court here held 21.10.1646 the aforesaid Robt Carter was admitted for himself and his heirs to one croft of land called Broadfield also Bradfield containing by estimation 6a more or less with a certain barn built upon it now at this court it is shown by the homage that after the last court the aforesaid Robt died and that Jn Carter is his son and heir who the same said Jn present here in court humbly sought from the lord admittance to the aforesaid premises as tenant to whom the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered seisin thereof by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid parcel of land and the aforesaid croft with barn and appurtenances to the same said Jn Carter his heirs and assigns from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord for a fine etc |
