at a court here held after the death of Robt Crow Giles Crow was admitted to himself and his heirs to one messuage or tenement and garden called The George situate in Earls Colne now at this court it appeared to the homage that 16.6.1679 the said Giles Crow surrendered by the rod into the hands of the lord by the hands of Geo Toller gentleman instead of the bailiff in the presence of Rich Hatch and Jn Hutton two customary tenants etc the said messuage and garden with appurtenances in the occupation of Eliz Boosby widow or her assigns and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders etc of the said Giles Crow in the said messuage and premises aforesaid and all other customary messuages lands tenements and hereditaments held by the said Giles Crow of the manor aforesaid to the sole and proper use of Edw Warren of Earls Colne aforesaid his heirs and assigns forever which said Edw Warren present in court humbly petitioned admittance etc and gave the lord for fine and made fealty etc
