whereas at a court here held 28.12.1676 Jn Hobard was admitted to him and his heirs to one tenement and garden with appurtenances called Sadlers now at this court it appeared to the homage that the said Jn Hobard 13.4.1680 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Rich Caplyn senior instead of the bailiff in the presence of Hen Burdocke junior and Jn Hutton two customary tenants etc the said tenement and garden with appurtenances situate in Earls Colne at Colneford Hill to the sole and proper use of Dan Burdocke his heirs and assigns forever and upon this the said Dan Burdocke by Hen Burdocke junior his father and his attorney and deputy humbly asked to be admitted tenant to which attorney the lord by the steward granted and delivered seisin etc to have and to hold the said tenements etc to the said Dan Burdocke his heirs and assigns of the lord etc and he gave for fine etc and fealty was respited
