whereas at a court here held 4.11.1657 Jn Hutton was admitted to him and his heirs to all that customary cottage or tenement called The Middle House situate in Holt Street in Earls Colne with buildings yards garden and appurtenances now at this court it appeared to the homage that 26.5.1682 the said Jn Hutton surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Geo Cressener (may be Geo Cressener) instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jas Jay and Rich Fisher two customary tenants etc the cottage or tenement aforesaid with premises now in the occupation of the said Jn Hutton to the sole use and behoof of Jn Cressener gentleman his heirs and assigns forever who by Sam Burton his attorney in this part humbly petitioned admittance to the premises to whom the steward granted seisin of the premises to hold the cottage and other premises etc to the said Jn Cressener and his assigns of the lord etc and he gave for fine etc and
