at a court held 20.10.1659 Thos Chaplin was admitted to one cottage with a yard and parcel of the waste of the manor containing 5rod in length late parcel of Playstowe Kilne now in the several occupations of Moses Davy and Rich Ames now at this court it appeared that he had lately died and that Thos Chaplin was his son and heir who present was admitted etc and gave fine and fealty was respited
