whereas at a court held 28.3.1695 Susanna Toller after wife of Wm Purcas and now the wife of Geo Cole was admitted to one cottage orchard and garden called Agnes Bridges situate on Colneford Hill now in the occupation of Jas Savill senior now at this court it appeared that the said Geo Cole and Susanna his wife on 7.4. came before the deputy steward and the said Susanna secretly examined and consenting surrendered the said cottage and all customary lands held of the manor by them to the use of Jas Savill junior of Earls Colne blacksmith who present was admitted etc and gave fine and made fealty
