at a court held 30.4.1717 it appeared that Jn Eldred of Colchester gentleman out of court on 5.12.1716 surrendered by the hands of Geo Rogers instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn White and Sam Christmas all his customary land held by copy of the manor to the use of Jn Last junior of Earls Colne yeoman his heirs and assigns forever now at this court Jn Last was admitted to one messuage called Muggs alias Princes with a garden belonging also to one piece of land parcel of Thredgolds with a tenement thereon built with appurtenances to which premises the said Jn Eldred was admitted at a court held 8.4.1712 etc and gave fine and fealty
