at this court it appeared that Ralph Josselin on 20.9.1717 surrendered by the hands of Solomon Grimston instead of the bailiff in the presence of Hen Adams senior and Jn Pratt two closes of land or pasture called Lower Coes once Rich Nevill's and also a piece of land called Inhams lying next to Burroughs Bridge in Earls Colne then or late in the tenure of Wm Paretree (may be Wm Paretree) or his assigns to the use of Math Newman of Earls Colne yeoman who is admitted etc and gave fine and fealty
