it is shown by the homage that Jn Lyngwod who holds from the lord together with Jn Tebend of Tey Magna to them their heirs and assigns one cottage with rentery and garden adjoining called Ruffeles customary and a certain piece of land with appurtenances in the same said parcel sometime of Barnelves containing by estimation 2r lying at the eastern part of the aforesaid cottage lately enclosed by the said Jn with pales and ditching the said Jn Lyngwood died before this court seised thereof according to the custom of the manor and before his death he surrendered into the hands of the lord the aforesaid cottage with rentery and garden and piece of aforesaid land with their appurtenances by the hands of Hen Poleyn the lord's tenant in place of the bailiff in the presence of the lord Jn Eyer prior and lord of this manor to the use of Seman Lyngwod his son his heirs and assigns upon which came the aforesaid Jn Teband and surrendered into the hands of the lord all his estate that he had in the said cottage with rentery garden and piece of land adjoining with their appurtenances to the use of the said Seman Lyngwod to whom the same said Seman the lord by his steward granted thereof seisin to hold to himself Jn Tilwik and Wm Orvison their heirs and assigns to the use and behoof of the said Seman his heirs and assigns at the will of the lord by the rod according to the custom of the manor by making and returning the rents and services and customs thereunto belonging and accustomed and they gave to the lord for a fine as is shown in the margin and made fealty
