Jan. 24. Concluded this year with my neighbour Mathew , in godly conference, and prayer with rejoicing and love, and cheerfulness. our public affairs ended with peace at home. the nations abroad fearing us. only the Scots having crowned their King prepare great armies to invade us.

The summer past there was a great earthquake in Archipelago. Candia, and reported by Mrs King an earthquake for a short time at Geddington in Northamptonshire where she was. great inundations in Brussel Flanders, and of the Seine by Paris doing great hurt, these signs portend something.
