whereas at a court here held friday being 1.4.6Jas1 Edw Brewer was admitted tenant of the lord for himself and his heirs of one customary cottage with garden adjoining containing half a rood sometime Simon Warde's now it appears to the homage that the said Edw Brewer out of court and after the last court surrendered the aforesaid cottage with appurtenances into the hands of the lord by the hands of Thos Smithe instead of the bailiff in the presence of Thos Prior and Wm Catte customary tenants of the same manor the same testifying to the use of Robt Rooks senior and his heirs forever who present in court asked to be admitted tenant of the lord etc and he gave his fine and made fealty and was admitted tenant thereof
