item it was shown by the homage that Robt Churche late of Earls Colne doctor of divinity after the last court and before this court by his surrender dated 22.12.1615# surrendered into the hands of the lord in the presence of Jn Churche Edw Cressner gentleman and Sam Brewer customary tenants of the said manor to the use and behoof as stated in the last will and testament of Robt Churche himself bearing the date 29.11.1615 shown here in court and clearly shown that the said Robt Churche gave and bequeathed among other things a tenement and one customary garden with a certain pond adjoining the same to the use and behoof of Barth Churche son of the said Robt his heirs and assigns forever provided always that if the said Barth died before his full age of twenty one years that the remainder of the said garden with appurtenances to the said Rosamund Churche one of the daughters of the said Robt and her assigns and now came into court in person the said Barth Churche and humbly sought admittance to the premises according to the said last will and testament whereupon the lord of the manor by his said steward granted him seisin thereof to have and to hold the said premises with appurtenances to the aforesaid Barth Churche his heirs and assigns according to the form and effect of the last will and testament at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he was admitted tenant thereof fealty was respited until etc
