Jn Allen to a cottage in Park Laneitem it is shown by the homage that Thos Allen and Eliz his wife after the last court died seised for their natural life and the longer liver the remainder thereof after their decease to Jn Allen son of the said Thos for his lifetime to a cottage lately built upon the lords waste containing in breadth at one end 10virgates and at the other end 4virgates illegible text 5virgates one head thereof abutting towards the south west the other towards the north west and lying between the lands late illegible text towards the east and the highway leading from the said Colne towards Colne Park on the other part towards the west upon this condition that Thos Eliz and Jn by taking the tithes should maintain and repair the said cottage and other premises at the time for such work to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord by the rent of 5s per annum at illegible text and by other services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed by copy of a roll of this court in full and open court dated 15.1.1607 clearly shown and now to this same said court came the said Jn Allen and humbly sought admittance from the lord to the said premises whereupon the lord of the said manor by the said steward granted seisin thereof to have and to hold the said cottage illegible text to the said Jn Allen for his natural lifetime from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine and made fealty and was admitted thereof tenant
