item it is shown by the homage that Robt Churche late of Earls Colne doctor of divinity tenant of the same manor after the last court and before this court by his surrender here in court dated 22.12.1615 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Robt Cobbe instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Churche Edw Cressner gentleman and Sam Brewer tenants of the manor the same witnessing to the use and intentions stated and declared in the last will and testament of Robt Churche himself bearing date 29.11.1615 and by the same said last will here produced in court and shown by the same established and shown and bequeathed among other things one croft of enclosed land late of Jn Tredgolde lying next to Berecrofts now called Stulps to the work and use of Barth Churche son of the said Robt his heirs and assigns forever provided before the full age of twenty one years then the said croft with appurtenances should remain to Rosamund Churche her heirs and assigns forever and now to this court came Barth Churche in person came the said Barth and sought admittance to the premises according to the form and effect of the said last will whereupon the lord of the said manor by his said steward granted thereof seisin to have and to hold the said croft of land with appurtenances to the aforesaid Barth Churche his heirs and assigns according to the form and effect of the said last will from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine and was admitted thereof tenant and fealty was respited
