whereas at a court here held 24.9.1614 it was found by the homage that Wm Fisher gentleman customary tenant of this manor surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Wm Dashe instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Read and Robt Rooks two customary tenants of the said manor the same testifying all those his customary lands and tenements with appurtenances held by copy of a court roll to the use and behoof of Thos Fisher his son and his heirs and assigns forever but the admission of the said Thos for divers reasons the court then suggesting was respited now to this court came the said Thos Fisher and humbly sought from the lord admittance to one tenement with appurtenances and certain customary lands called Hayhouse held by copy of a roll of the court of this manor according to the said surrender to whom the lord by his said steward granted seisin thereof to him saving however to the lord all rights which he should have into the land called Sladesland to have and to hold the said premises with appurtenances except for the aforesaid exceptions to the aforesaid Thos Fisher his heirs and assigns etc to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine and made fealty and was admitted tenant thereof of the lord as shown
