and also to this court came Hen Bridge and Edith his wife Edith herself solely secretly and lawfully examined by the said steward according to the custom of the said manor and surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the said steward one tenement with appurtenances called Brayes now in the tenure or occupation of Geo Burton or his assigns to the use and behoof of Eliz Allen wife of Rich Allen her heirs and assigns forever upon which into this court sitting came the said Eliz Allen and humbly sought from the lord admittance to the said premises to whom the lord by his said steward granted seisin thereof to have the said premises with appurtenances to the aforesaid Eliz Allen and the heirs of Eliz herself forever from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and she gave to the lord her fine and made fealty and was admitted thereof tenant of the lord
