it was shown by the homage that Dan Aymes customary tenant of this manor before this court namely 24.6.last past surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Wm Dashe instead of the bailiff in the presence of Thos Prior and Barth Clarke two customary tenants of this manor the same testifying according to the custom of the said manor all that his tenement or cottage and garden called Stacyes which he took to himself and his heirs at a court here held 15.4.1623 to the use and behoof of Edw Somerson and his heirs to whom the same said Edw present here in court the lord by his said steward granted and delivered seisin thereof by the rod to have to himself and his heirs and assigns forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents customs and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he made therefore fine and fealty to the lord and was admitted tenant etc
