whereas Helen Wade lately held half of customary lands called Bower Field for herself the aforesaid Helen for the term of her life the remainder thereof after her decease to Alice late wife of Edw Browne and the heirs of the same said Alice forever now it is shown by the said homage that the aforesaid Helen and the aforesaid Alice died before this court and that Alice Browne is daughter and heir of Alice the mother herself according to the custom of the said manor and is under age viz aged about 12years upon which now to this court came the aforesaid Alice the daughter in person and sought admittance to the said premises to whom the same said Alice the lord by his said steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have for herself and her heirs forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents customs and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and she gave to the lord her fine as is shown etc and was admitted thereof tenant etc but her fealty was respited because she was under age and namely for this reason custody of the body of the aforesaid Alice and the said lands is now committed to the aforesaid Edw Browne the father during the minority of Alice herself who the same said Edw now made fine and fealty for the said custody and was admitted thereof tenant of the lord for and during the said minority of the aforesaid Alice his daughter etc
