it is shown by the homage that Sam Tryon knight baronet and Robt Sache out of court viz on 18.4.last past surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Rich Kempe and Robt Rookes two customary tenants in the presence of Robt Walker instead of the bailiff by same testifying according to the custom of the said manor all that messuage or his customary tenement and about 9a of land with appurtenances pertaining to the same tenement lying in the said Earls Colne as the said premises are now in the occupation of Thos Stocke or his assigns to the use and behoof of Ann Coggeshall widow her heirs and assigns upon this condition however that if the aforesaid Robt Sache his heirs executors or assigns should pay or cause to be paid to the said Ann Coggeshall her heirs executors administrators or assigns the sum of 60li in or at the now dwelling house of Jn Harrington gentleman situated in Maplestead Magna in the county of Essex in or upon the 19.4.1626 then this present surrender should void otherwise it should stand in its full force and effect etc
