and furthermore it is shown by the homage that the said Jn Church gentleman out of court and after the last court surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the said Simon Ive instead of the bailiff in the presence of the said Edw Cressener and Dan Lea two customary tenants the same witnessing according to the custom of the said manor 1r of customary land parcel of Barcroft according as it is lying in the said Colne viz between the land of Geo Beiston on the east part and 1a of land late parcel of the said Barcroft now enclosed and now or lately in the tenure of Thos Christmas towards the west one head thereof abutting upon the road leading from the said Colne towards Colne Park and the other head thereof abutting upon a garden late of the said Geo Beiston called Princes to the use and behoof of Toby Cressener gentleman and his heirs to whom the same said Toby Cressener present here in court the lord by his said steward granted and delivered seisin thereof by the rod to have to himself the aforesaid Toby his heirs and assigns forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents customs and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he made therefore fine and fealty to the lord and was admitted etc
