and furthermore it is shown by the homage that the said Thos Gooday who held to himself and his heirs 3p of customary land taken from the curtilage pertaining to the messuage in which Thos Prior junior lived and laid by the messuage in which Wm Green then lived by the surrender of Wm Green according as it is clearly shown by the court roll dated 8.4.1629 after the last court and before this court viz 3.10.1633 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Jn Reade instead of the bailiff in the presence of Dan Lea and Jn Clarke two customary tenants of the said manor according to the customs of the said manor the said 3p under the description one yard pertaining to the said cottage to the use and behoof of Ann Fish and her heirs forever to whom present here in court the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have the said 3p and other premises to the said Ann and her heirs forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the customs of the said manor by the rents services customs etc and she gave to the lord her fine
