whereas at a court here held 19.10.1625 Alice Browne now wife of Edw Prentice was admitted tenant to herself and her heirs to half of certain lands and customary tenements called Boarefield alias Bowerfeilds containing about 20a as is clearly shown by the said court roll now to this court comes the said Edw Prentice and Alice his wife Alice herself being solely and secretly examined by the said steward as is the custom and surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the said steward the half of the land and tenement with appurtenances and all rights estates titles and interests in the said lands and tenements called Boarefields with appurtenances to the use of Edw Browne of White Notley Essex dishturner the heirs and assigns of the said Edw Browne forever who present here in court humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have the said half of land and other premises with appurtenances to Edw Browne his heirs and assigns forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the customs of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine and made fealty and was admitted tenant thereunto
