and furthermore it is shown by the homage that Rich Rookes on the day of this court surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Geo Hunwicke instead of the bailiff in the presence of Wm Adams and Dan Lea two customary tenants of this manor according to the customs of the said manor one tenement called Mordens or Crosse End with orchards yards and gardens and the pump there and pertaining now in the tenure of the said Rich Rooks or his assigns with the bakehouse or kilne or killhouse parcel of Joldens with certain yards and gardens with appurtenances in the tenure of the said Rich Rooks and Jn Flattman or their assigns except for all those things previously bound before this surrender to the use of Barth Clarke and his heirs by the said Rich Rookes to the use and behoof of Edw Potter senior yeoman and his heirs forever to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have the said tenement and other premises with appurtenances except before excepted to the said Edw Potter his heirs and assigns forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the customs of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine and made fealty and was admitted tenant
