and furthermore at this court it is shown by the homage that Thos Fisher gentleman after the last court and before this court viz 9.5.1637 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Wm Cosin instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Hawksby clerk and Edw Cressner gentleman two customary tenants of the said manor according to the customs of the said manor all that messuage or farm called the Hayhouse with all lands meadows and pastures pertaining to the said messuage or in use according to existing custom lying in Earls Colne and now in the tenure of Jn Keble to the use and behoof of Hen Abbot and his heirs forever upon condition that if the said Thos Fisher his heirs or administrators pay or cause to be paid to the said Hen Abbot or his certain attorney executors or assigns the full sum of 160li of legal english money by or upon 9.8.1637 in or at the mansion house of the said Hen Abbot situated in Earls Colne that then the surrender to be null and void
