whereas at a court here held 12.10.1637 and at a view of frankpledge with court baron here held 27.12.1638 Robt Till and Margt his wife Rich Parkinson and Geo Bentall and Ann his wife surrendered into the hands of the lord all parts and their shares of the reversions or remainder of one tenement and 10a of land with appurtenances called Pakesgate lying next to Colne Park and all right estate and interest of them or any of them of and in the aforesaid tenement and 10a with appurtenances which should descend to the aforesaid Margt Rich and Ann by or after the death of Rich Parker to the use and behoof of Jn Jacob knight and his heirs as is clearly shown by the aforesaid separate court rolls to which tenement and 10a of land the aforesaid Rich Parker and Eliz his then wife and now the wife of Jos Wiseman gentleman were admitted tenants for themselves and the heirs of their bodies legitimately procreated the reversion thereof to the rightful heirs of the said Rich Parker as is clearly shown by the court roll here held 6.4.1618 which certain Rich Parker before this court died without heirs of his body legitimately procreated upon the body of the said Eliz now at this court the lord by his said steward granted and delivered seisin to the said Jn Jacob by Lawrence Mablie his deputy seisin thereof by the rod to have and to hold all and singular the premises with appurtenances as by the surrender to the use of the said Jn Jacob himself his heirs and assigns forever from the lord by the rod etc and he gave to the lord his fine etc and afterwards to this court came the aforesaid Jos Wiseman and Eliz his wife Eliz herself solely and secretly examined by the steward of the court as is the custom and surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of his said steward the said tenement and 10a of land with appurtenances and all their right estate and interest in the premises to the use and behoof of the said Jn Jacob his heirs and assigns forever to whom by the said Lawrence Mablie his deputy the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said tenement and 10a of land with appurtenances to the said Jn Jacob his heirs and assigns forever from the lord at the will of the lord according to the customs of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine but fealty was respited and afterwards at the same court the lord granted to the said Jn Jacob licence to demise the said tenement and 10a of land with appurtenances or any parcel thereof to any person or persons he pleases for the term of twenty one years or for less time saving to the lord of the said manor all services rents and customs etc
