and furthermore whereas at a court here held 18.4.1614 Dan Lea was admitted tenant of the lord for himself and his heirs to a certain parcel of a yard then pertaining to the tenement called Garlands containing in length about 60ft assessed and in breadth 4ft assessed as is shown by the said court roll now at this court it is shown by the homage that the said Dan Lea after the last court viz 15.2.1640 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Wm Adams instead of the bailiff in the presence of Robt Carter and Edw Somerson two customary tenants of the said manor according to the customs of the said manor the said yard with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Dan Lea son of Robt Lea and his heirs forever and afterwards and before this court he died seised thereof whereupon came into court the said Dan Lea and humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said parcel or yard with appurtenances to the said Dan Lea his heirs and assigns forever from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the customs of the said manor by the rents and services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine and made fealty and was admitted tenant
