and furthermore whereas at a court here held 29.12.1640 it was shown by the homage that Thos Allen who held for himself and his heirs one cottage newly built upon a parcel of curtilage pertaining to the messuage called Seabrights with a garden pertaining to the same cottage and a parcel of the well thereof as it was then enclosed and divided from the rest of the said curtilage containing altogether about 14p and a half as is shown by the court roll bearing the date 28.4.1624 he surrendered all and singular the premises with appurtenances to the use and intention of his last will now at this court it is shown by the homage that the said Thos Allen before this court died seised thereof upon which came here into court Jn Allen son of the said Thos and brought here into court the said last will and testament of his father in his writing signed and sealed bearing the date 16.2.1640 the tenor of which regarding the premises in the following words item I give to Jn Allen my son and to his heirs all my copyhold messuage or tenement with the appurtenances called Seabrights and upon that account he humbly sought admittance to whom the same Jn Allen the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said cottage and premises with appurtenances to the said Jn Allen his heirs and assigns from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the customs of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine etc
