and furthermore it is shown by the homage that Barth Clarke customary tenant of the said manor after the last court viz 28.2.1648 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Wm Sexten instead of the bailiff and in the presence of Robt Carter and Jn Reade two customary tenants of the said manor testifying etc all that part of one messuage or tenement called Mordens now in the tenure and occupation of Jane Tyler and part of the yard as it is now divided by the footpath nearby adjoining the messuage and yard late of Robt Parker to the use and behoof of Hen Dowe his heirs and assigns who present in court humbly sought admittance to the premises to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said part of the said messuage called Mordens and the said yard with appurtenances to the said Hen Dowe his heirs and assigns from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he paid his fine and made fealty
