and afterwards in the same court and the court sitting came the said Wm Wyborow and Ann his wife and the same Ann was solely and secretly examined by the said steward as is the custom and agreed and surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the said steward the said croft called Petticroftes alias Pettecroftes with appurtenances to the use of Hen Abbott senior of Earls Colne clothier his heirs and assigns upon condition that if the said Wm and Ann or either of them their heirs executors or assigns or any of them should pay or cause to be paid to the said Hen Abbott his executors or administrators at the now mansion house of the said Hen situated in Earls Colne 34li4s of legal english money in the form and manner following viz 42s thereof upon 19.6.1651 and 32li2s the remainder of the said 34li4s upon 20.6.1652 that then the surrender will be null and void
