whereas at a court held for the said manor upon 18.4.1650 Wm Death did surrender into the hands of the lord of the said manor by the hands of his steward seven crofts of customary land called Michels to the use of Robt Reeve gentleman and Grisil his wife and their heirs upon condition that if the said Wm Death his heirs executors or administrators shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid to the said Robt Reeve and Grisel his wife their executors or administrators the full sum of 106li of lawful english money upon 19.4.1651 at the then dwelling house of Rich Harlakenden esq called Colne Priory that then the said surrender to be void now at this court it was found by the homage that before the said 19.4.1651 the said Robt Reeve died and that the said Wm Death did well and truly pay to the said Grisil the said sum of 106li according to the tenor of the said surrender
