and afterwards in the same court the said Jas Day did come in his own person and in open court did surrender into the hands of the lord of the said manor by the hands of his said steward the said messuage parcel of land and all other the premises with the appurtenances to the use and behoof of him the said Jas Day and Grace his wife and of the heirs of the said Jas forever to which said Jas in his own person and to the said Grace by the hands of Hen Hutton her attorney and deputy in that behalf the lord of the said manor by his said steward did grant and deliver thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said messuage parcel of land and all other the premises with their appurtenances to the said Jas Day and Grace his wife and to the heirs and assigns of the said Jas forever of them by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs formerly due and of right accustomed and they gave to the lord for their fine and the said Jas did his fealty
