whereas at a court held for the said manor 20.4.1636 Ann Burton was admitted tenant for her life to a customary cottage with the appurtenances called Sebrights the remainder thereof after her decease to Wm Burton and his heirs belonging now at this court it was presented that since the last court the said Ann died and that the said Wm died in the lifetime of the said Ann and that Sam Burton is brother and heir to the said Wm who being present in court humbly prayed to be admitted tenant to the premises to whom the lord of the said manor by his said steward did grant and deliver thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said cottage with the appurtenances to the said Sam his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs due and he gave to the lord for a fine and did his fealty
