at this court it was presented by the homage that Hen Dowe a customary tenant of this manor since the last court that is to say upon 20.12.last did surrender into the hands of the lord of this manor by the hands of Barth Clarke junior and in the presence of Ralph Josselin clerk and Barth Clarke the elder two customary tenants of the said manor all that his messuage called Mordons with the appurtenances lately bought of the said Barth and then in the occupation of Bridget Ayleward to the use of his last will and testament and before this court died but because none came to be admitted to the same after proclamation thrice made according to the custom of the said manor therefore precept was directed to the bailiff to seize the same into the lord's hands until etc
