whereas at a court held for the said manor 12.10.1637 Xoph Aldridge and Eliz his wife were admitted tenants to them and their heirs to one cottage and a parcel of land parcel of Windmillhill now at this court it was presented by the homage that the said Xoph afterwards died so seised and that the said Eliz did him survive and before this court the said Eliz died seised of the premises and that Xoph Aldridge is her son and heir who being present in court prayed to be admitted tenant to the same to whom the lord of the said manor by his said steward did grant and deliver thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said cottage and parcel of land to the said Xoph Aldridge the son and to his heirs and assigns forever of the lord by the rod at this will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs due and he gave to the lord for a fine
