at this court Hugh Greene and Rachel his wife customary tenants of the said manor in right of the said Rachel did come in their own persons and the said Rachel being by the said steward solely and secretly examined and consenting they the said Hugh and Rachel did surrender into the hands of the lord of the said manor by the hands of his said steward all their moiety part and purparty of one messuage and one garden called Morses and of a parcel of land being a yard adjoining to the said messuage on the east to the use of Jn Hayward one of the sons of Simon Hayward of Colne Engaine and of the heirs and assigns of the said Jn Hayward upon condition that if the said Hugh and Rachel or either of them their or either of their heirs executors administrators or assigns shall and do well and truly pay or cause to be paid to Mich Hayward brother of the said Simon and to the said Jn Hayward or to either of them or to the executors or administrators of the survivor of them at or in the now dwelling house of the said Simon situate in Colne Engaine aforesaid 25s of lawful English money upon 5.7.next 25s more of like money upon 6.1.1660 25s more of like money upon 7.7.1660 and 34li5s of like money upon 8.1.1661 that then the said surrender to be void etc
