Morses | to this court came Sigismund Baker customary tenant of the said manor and in person by the rod surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of his said steward one messuage or tenement with appurtenances late in the tenure of Thos Richmond and afterwards in the tenure of Thos Manning to the use and behoof of Jas Day of Earls Colne his heirs and assigns forever which premises the said Sigismund Baker took for himself and his heirs at a court with court leet here held 1.11.1653 upon which to this court came the said Jas and humbly sought admittance as tenant thereof to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin thereof by the rod to have and to hold the said messuage or tenement with appurtenances to the said Jas Day his heirs and assigns forever from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and the said Jas gave to the lord his fine and made fealty |
