parcel of Garlands | at this court it appeared to the homage that Walt Pease senior customary tenant of this manor 24.7.1671 surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Jn Clarke instead of the bailiff in the presence of Geo Cressener gentleman and Jn Garrett two customary tenants of the manor etc all that customary cottage or tenement containing one room with a certain yard belonging to the same extending from the north part of the cottage to a certain wall lately erected and also to a certain small tree there growing in the said fence with all easements and commodities appertaining now in the occupation of Jn Pease to the use of Walt Pease junior son of the said Walt Pease and his heirs and assigns forever upon which came Walt Pease the son and humbly petitioned admittance etc to whom the lord by the steward delivered seisin to have and to hold the cottage with appurtenances to the said Walt Pease the son his heirs and assigns of the lord etc and he gave the lord for fine etc and the rent of the whole tenement late of Walt Pease the father aforesaid is 8d per annum and by the assent of the lord the rent is now apportioned into several parts his successors and heirs to pay yearly to the lord his heirs and assigns as follows viz Grace Mole widow 9d Jn Pease 5d and the said Walt Pease 4d |
