at a court held 27.12.1676 Robt Payne was admitted to one messuage or tenement with a garden and part of a well and appurtenances situate at Colne Green in the several occupations of Jn Fell Thos Wade and Mary Bidford widow and afterwards in the occupation of Jn Pewter Wm Hutton and Eliz Manning and now in the occupation of the said Eliz Manning and Wm Andrews now at this court it appeared that on 15.4.last he surrendered by the hands of Sam Burton bailiff in the presence of Jn Garrett and Robt Potter etc the tenement to the use of the said Eliz Manning who was admitted and gave fine and fealty respited
